Weingut

Die Familie Neipperg besitzt 32 Hektar im Anbaugebiet Württemberg, die in drei Monopollagen aufgeteilt sind: Neippberger Schlossberg, Schwaigerner Ruthe und Klingenberger Schlossberg.

Jahrgangsbericht

Vintage 2015 was characterized by a long period of drought in the summer coupled with an extreme heat wave. The result was a smaller berry size. Although this meant lower quantity, the quality was superb, as the smaller berries were very concentrated and healthy, with a high Oechsle level.  A dry autumn with cool mornings made for ideal harvest conditions. 2015 belongs, undoubtedly, among the top vintages at the estate (along with 2011, 2009, and 2003) and maybe even better.

Selective hand-harvesting, careful transportation and treatment, 14 days fermentation on skins. Aging in big wooden barrels
