Vintage report

The year began with a mild winter, which was followed by an equally mild spring. The rainfall up to March ensured a good water supply to the soil, and flowering was both quick and successful due to the onset of heat and brief drought, which meant that problems with compact grapes could be expected later on. The harvest started about a week earlier than the long-term average, but somewhat later than last year. Due to the onset of rot, it was crucial to time the harvest in the individual vineyards and this increased the difficulty of the grape harvest.
