In viticulture, a summer with high temperatures and low rainfall shaped the development of the vines. Even if the year 2022 began with aboveaverage temperatures, the start of vegetation due to a cold phase in April was within the normal, long-term average. While the Riesling picking that followed was cooler and rainier. The ripening of the grapes had slowed noticeably and stronger selection had become necessary in order to bring impeccable grapes to the press. Despite the challenging circumstances of September, the wines maturing in the cellar promise to be aromatic and elegant representatives of their kind.
