The Estate Baron Knyphausen is known as a Riesling pioneer and cultivates 17 hectares in the Rheingau region
The Knyphausen Team is expecting an outstanding vintage 2020. The year started with frequent rainfalls in spring, so the soil was able to store enough water for the hot summer days, that started in June and continued all the way into September. Harvest started with 100% healthy grapes, unusually early, in mid- September. The vintage is characterized by relatively high sugar levels and relatively low acidity, which will result in nicely balanced, structured and full-flavored wines.
