Rheingau
Künstler
The Künstler Winery Künstler family-owned since 1648. Originally based in Untertannowitz (South Moravia, Czech Republic), the family lost their estate after World War II, when Franz Künstler was Künstler and expelled.
In 1965, he reestablished the winery in Hochheim am Main in Germany’s Rheingau region. The winery’s uncompromising commitment to quality quickly earned it widespread recognition and numerous awards.
In 1992, Gunter Künstler his wife Monika took over the winery and carried on the family tradition. Since 1994, the Künstler Winery has been Künstler of the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates).
