Wineries

P. J. Valckenberg is an important distribution channel for many famous German Estates, which also trust in us to do their marketing e.g. in North America.

When German wine export started the wines were not sold in bottles but by the cask. Stabilization of the low alcoholic wines was difficult and therefore wines were mainly consumed in the production area.
Only in the 1840`s when the wine making techniques improved to a point where it was possible to bottle the wines in glass containers and ship them in wooden boxes. It wasn’t until the early 1900s when estates started to bottle and sell the wines on their own.

In the early days of German wine exports Valckenberg was the Wine Merchants who bought the wines from the famous estates and bottled them at their premises. Thus, it was up to them to do all the marketing for the estates.

A lot changed since that time but not our passion…
P. J. Valckenberg is shipping Fine German Wines into 40 countries world wide and also tries to explain why German wines are not just wine but special.
